Students are expected to keep the following rules and guidelines in mind:

  • The Library remains open throughout the year except on such days as may be notified as holidays. The working hours on all days are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • All the students who have joined the college as regular students can get their library membership after filling the library membership form.
  • Each student is entitled to the following number of books:
    • UG Classes     —-       3 Books    —                14 Days
      PG Classes      —-      5 Books    —                14 Days
      Book Bank      —-        5 Books    —                Each Semester
  • Book Bank Facility will be provided to Economically Poor students along with Meritorious Students.
  • A fine of Re. 1/- per book per day will be charged if the issued book is not returned within prescribed time.
  • The students should examine the books immediately before getting them issued. Defect, if any, should be brought to the notice of the librarian at the time of issuing. The damage in any form after it is issued will be compensated from the student.
  • Students on leave must arrange to return their books on time.
  • If any book is torn, text underlined or any other damage is done by the students, the book have to be replaced by the students.
  • Rare Books and Reference books like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Atlases & Maps etc.shall not be issued except for consultation in the library premises.
  • Journals and other periodical publications are not lent out for home use.
  • The librarian reserves the right to re-issue or to recall an issued book any time, if needed. 
  • The loss of a book should be reported to the librarian immediately. The lost book will be replaced by the borrower by a new one duly approved by the librarian, within a period of 14 days, failing which he/she will be required to pay the price of the book.
  • Every student is expected to return the library books and get a clearance chit from the library, failing which he/she will not be issued the roll numbers, character certificate or degree and he/she will also forfeit the amount of his/her security.
  • Identity Card is compulsory while entering in the library.
