Session 2017-18

Activities

The most important activity was the organization of a Blood Donation Camp in the College on 7^th October 2017. It was organized in Collaboration with the N.S.S. Unit of the College and District Red Cross Society.  Eighty-nine students and teachers donated blood.  Dr. B.B. Sharma from PIET was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

A seminar on Voluntary Blood Donation was organized in collaboration with the N.S.S. Unit of the college on 9^th October during the ‘Voluntary Blood Donation Fortnight’. Dr. Pooja from District Red Cross Society was the key-speaker on this occasion.

 On 10^th October 2017, a First-Aid Camp was organized in the college.  In this camp, the main speaker, Mrs. Meena Kamboj, from District Red Cross Society trained 30 volunteers in rendering First-Aid in various emergency situations.

‘Teach Aids’ an animation movie, was shown to students on 11^th October 2017 to spread awareness regarding AIDS.

11 Youth Red Cross Club volunteers participated in a 5 days camp (16^th March 2018 to 20^th March 2018) at Arya College, Panipat organized by State Red Cross Society.  Our volunteers won six medals in various activities and the incharge, Prof. Sonia was awarded the trophy of best Counsellor.

On the occasion of the World Health Day (7^th April 2018) a Poster Making Competition was organized to spread awareness regarding HIV and AIDS.  Many students participated in this function.  Moreover, a short animated movie on the same topic was also shown to the students.
