Department of Home Science aims at in harnessing the standard of girls in general and rural families through teaching and extension activities. The department was established in 1967 with broad objective of catering to the educational needs of girls besides preparing them for their future roles. Home science is a combination of fields of study from science and arts, which draws upon various disciplines such as Physiology, Hygiene, child development, clothing & textile, resource management and is also the science of managing food and nutrition to promote health with the importance that the quality of life depends upon depends on the quality of food we eat. It includes not only nutritional needs of the family, but also equips the students for a large variety of careers and locations, both in the industry and self employment. It is an interdisciplinary field of knowledge with focus on food & nutrition, fabric & apparel designing, human development, family relation, home management etc. The subject offers numerous career options such as teaching, child development programme officer, “Aanganwadi” & “Baalwadi” supervisers, Day care centres, crèches, quality control assistants, hospitality managers, event managers and organizers, bakery and confectionery, fashion designing and textile industry, interior designer etc.

1 Day Baking, Grilling and Fruit Carving Workshop (January 31, 2020) Prof. Pankaj Mishra, Bhagat Phool Singh University Women Khanpur, Sonipat was invited for the workshop.
On Febrauary 5, 2020 a Medical Camp was organised by Red Cross Society , Panipat in the college premises. In this camp the students were given the practical training .
Three days workshop from (6th Feburuary to 8th February) on Interior Decoration Articles was organised in the college.
